![]() Direct3D 12 will only work on Windows 10 due to D3D12on7 and vkd3d not being supported.GPU: Direct3D 12-compatible or Vulkan-compatible GPU from this list.CPU: 64-bit x86 processor with AVX(2) support. ![]() OS: Windows 7+ 圆4 (Linux/macOS not natively supported).=S I'm on FF with an AVX build, it's "built for Intel" but I think it runs smoother than the official without some of these flags. ![]() FMA3 and AVX together might have made a difference, idk, haven't had Linux in a while to really see what some of these new features do compared to my old PHII. I'm unsure about FMA3 but if AMD has had that it is probably in there now. Guess I figured they should have most of that down by now though I believe Dolphin does support AVX which would make things a bit faster. Didn't think about changing architecture for current instruction sets. Every small gain makes a world of a difference in emulation.Īhh, similar idea. Either way, the new chips are a % faster too so that has to be taken into account. Not that my 8GB of ram was hurting with Chrome but in the day and age where games are getting beefier everything could help. That and it seems FF has cut it's memory management down a bit more. Though I run it because they are using more aggressive flags for stuff, which at least to me feels faster. I'd expect the 360 emulator to take off faster and possibly perform better in multi-plats.Ĭlick to expand.Ahh, similar idea. The SPEs are probably like hell to emulate. I'm going to call out what I think will be the most demanding titles to emulate for that platform, Uncharted titles, Killzone titles and the Last of Us alongside the Infamous series, there might be more though but these are mostly 1st partys. I think the 360 games are DVD-9 which is 8.5GB so you're probably right about the file sizes.Ībout the OP, this is an amazing start, I wonder why were starting to see decent 360 and PS3 emu production after the next gens have released? Still going to be amazing, I would love to play a couple PS3 games at 1080p. Unless they are larger once installed or on disc.įor them to be bigger than a 360 equivalent multi plat game wouldn't alot of the content on the disc be uncompressed or something or do the discs get filled to their full capacity? Judging from my ripped PS2 games I think almost all of them, if not all of them at 4.7GB, DVD-5's full capacity. LBP2 last time I checked was hovering around 9GB supposedly too. ![]() Click to expand.I dont think alot of games reach the 25GB barrier judging from PSN download file sizes, GTA 5 is apparently 17-18GB, the 360 has two discs.
